Din Tai Fung 鼎泰豐 @ BreadTalk IHQ

Tried the Din Tai Fung outlet at the new BreadTalk IHQ located at 30 Tai Seng Street. As it is a relatively new building, the crowd is not as much as those at other outlets. Nevertheless, reservation is allowed for big group after 3PM :)


The food for this new outlet is as good as the other outlet ("-"), DTF's food never disappoint me. I love all their starters, especially Braised Sichuan sliced beef and Sliced duck in crispy spring onion pastry. 这里的前菜都做得蛮道地的, 特别是川香牛腱, 很薄很Q, 让我完全不能停筷。

Xiao Long Bao is their signature dish, a must try :D They come in quite a few varieties.
小笼包香浓的汤汁很饱满, 用筷子夹起来的时候还可以感受到汤汁一直在晃动。

The Fried rice is unlike any other. The rice is fluffy and comes with a generous portion of 8 shrimps. The egg is evenly coated on every grain of rice. This is the ultimate skill level that my wifey is trying her best to attain. =P
他们家的虾仁炒饭有浓郁的葱香, 米饭粒粒分明,和金黄的炒蛋均匀的混合在一起, 最后当然还有又大又爽口的虾仁, 成就了我最爱的虾仁炒饭。

The Chilli crab Xiao Long Bao is available till August 2013. This is my personal favorite, with the chilli crab filling giving the Xiao Long Bao a local flavor to it. It is not too spicy and can be enjoyed by most.
辣椒螃蟹小笼包是7-8月推出的限量版口味,这款结合了新加坡当地特色风味的小笼包很受本地人欢迎。
